Frequently Asked Questions

What are the Parsha Emojis?

A picture for every weekly Torah portion: all 54 parshiyot, each drawn as an emoji with a one-sentence summary and the reason that picture was chosen, in English and Hebrew.

Which parasha does the page show first?

This week's. The page opens on the parasha read this Shabbat, with both when two are read together, and the next one when a holiday reading takes its place. Choose a book of the Torah or View All to see the others.

Can my class color them in?

Yes. Print coloring sheets turns any of the parshiyot into coloring pages: choose which ones, the copies and their order, the paper size, one, two or four pages to a sheet, the text language, which parts print, and outlines or already colored in.

Are the summaries in Hebrew too?

Yes. Every summary and reason is written in English and in Hebrew, and the cards follow the language you pick at the top of the page.

How do we practice reading the parasha itself?

Every card links to its parasha in the Torah Trainer, which reads the text with vowel coloring, transliteration, translation and chanted audio.

Can I print the cards?

Yes. Print prints the cards on screen (this week's, one book or all 54) on white paper.

Are the Parsha Emojis free?

Yes. Free for non-commercial educational use under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, with nothing to sign up for. A free account is optional and keeps your coloring-sheet options on every device.
