About this parasha

God teaches the Yom Kippur service, when the High Priest enters the Holy of Holies in white linen and one goat is sent into the wilderness carrying the people’s sins, and gives laws for living a holy life.

The picture: White linen clothes

On Yom Kippur the High Priest wears plain white linen (Leviticus 16:4).

Why this picture?

Achrei Mot describes the Yom Kippur service, when the High Priest sets aside his golden garments for plain white linen, which is why many people still wear white on Yom Kippur.
